Click Renaissance Carbon

Pen: Click Renaissance Carbon , Medium nib I bought this pen at Kolkata Book Fair 2024 . The way this pen looks is a love_at_first_sight. I could not refrain myself from buying this one. There are good, and there are bad things. Let me summarise them. 1. Build: Ebonite body with a matt finish adds to the feel of holding this pen. At the same time, this is also light. Grip section is comfortable. This has a 3 in 1 filling mechanism, which is a boon to the practicality. 2. In the box: Came with the 2 cartridges of blue ink (standard size), and a screw type converter (I am happy that they did not bundle this with a piston type filler which is very un-user-friendly). 3. Design: This is why I could not resist to buy. The matt finish black with golden rings at the cap with a golden clip, everything together is beautiful to look. What is don't like for most Indian made pens is the clip. Looks very cheap, and the way 'click' is written on the clip adds on to the cheapness. They ...

Boat Explorer smartwatch: A review after 6 months of use

This was my first smartwatch. My brother bought me this one for Rs 2.5k/-. I had some other choices, namely Boat Enigma, Storm, Colorfit Pro 2/3 etc. Here goes my review. 1. Build: Most important one I believe is the glass cover. They mention this one to be 2.5D glass (not a Gorilla Glass). After 6 months of usage, there is a single minor scratch which does not hinder the display, and I don't notice it when the display is on. The silicon strap is soft and sturdy and never went off. Looks classy.  2. Specification: Other than usual activity tracking, it comes with a GPS in built. There is heart rate monitoring function as well. There is no BP measurement, SpO2 measurement. While connected to the smartphone via bluetooth, it can show WhatsApp notification, text messages, weather forecast etc. 3. Touch: It is not super responsive, and frequently requires repeated touches to execute a function. But touch sensitivity is comparable to others in this class. 4. Display: It is a small o...

Case u stylus vs Apple Pencil for iPad

After buying an iPad, the first utility thing must be the pencil, particularly for the students. There are few third party stylus pens available in the market (Case U, Tukzer, Aboutthefit (ATF), Liramark etc). Today let me discuss their pros and cons. Before I start, let me clarify, Case U, Tukzer, ATF are basically the same product with different brand names. For the next discussion, I will be referring them as Case U. 2nd generation Apple Pencil will be compared. 1. Build: Apple Pencil is solidly uniform and weight is very well balanced so that it feels perfect in hand. Case U is slightly heavy at the rear end. This is a matter of personal preferences, but I liked the rear heaviness. 2. Tip: All these pencils offer a similar feedback while writing. Not much of a difference. There is minimal lag, and quite precise altogether. Case U upgraded provided two extra tips in the package. Tukzer usually provides one extra tip. Do check if your package comes with replacement tips. One can p...
